ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm DAM, and I am a illustration artist, musician, and audio engineer living in Austin Texas. Making art and playing music is my life. I design graphic art for posters, t-shirts, album art, and more. I play drums with two local bands and record music. I'm also a stagehand at the Mohawk in the heart of the Red River Cultural District, and am a backline technician for Boss Radio Music Services.

Originally From Tampa Florida I wanted to be a part of a supportive and creative community. Some of my biggest influences are from show posters and pop music from Austin's historic psychedelic rock scene from the 60's and 70's and noise rock in the 80's, so I moved here about four years ago to immerse myself in the music capital, and to be a part of this weird corner of the world.

I've always had a hard working, and motivated do it yourself attitude when it's come to making my art and music, and I'm constantly working and keeping myself busy with new projects and collaborations, and learning new skills to become more self reliant. My work consists of watercolor, pen and ink, and acrylics paintings and illustrations for designs I make for bands and small businesses. In my garage I have my own small print shop, and I have even built my own screen printing press, and exposure box from lumber, and designs I found online. My small studio makes fine art prints and t-shirts of the drawings and design commissions I have done.

Love for music and curiosity in the recording arts lead me to investing into my own recording equipment and teaching myself how to track and record demos and Eps of my music. Since moving here my skills and knowledge have only grown, and my investment and drive got me into live music production.
